I Am

I am one of a kind

Nowadays it’s hard to find who you truly are

Since most people try to be something they’re not

I have defects and flaws

But it’s ok, they make me, me

And I am happy

I use to think you needed other’s approval to fit in

I thought you needed to fake it to make it

Now I realize how foolish I was

Let me just tell you

I am myself

I may not be who I was a year ago

I might not be who I am in a year from now

I am probably not who I thought I would be

I am striving to become a better person than I was before

Because I am still creating myself
