I Am

I am Lauren

I am Lalo, Lowen, Lalz, and Jorlan.

I am Weaver

I am Cabeza de Vaca, Otero, and Martin.

I am 17 and 5'7"

I am forever young, nostalgic for my ever-lasting, ever-growing past.

          I am a giant, a whisper.

I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico

I am from Admire, Kansas, and the 13 hours in between.

I excel in math and writing, in the world of standardized tests

I have cried during tests. Nobody's perfect, nobody's that smart.

I am a music lover

I have a playlist on shuffle with punk pop following the soundtrack of Aladdin.

I am in show choir

No it's not like Glee, but then it kind of is, I don't know.

I am an ex-dancer

But how can one quit dance? I don't take any more classes but trust me,

          I will never quit dancing.

I am a high school student.

I am a philosopher and an artist, though I never took an art class.

My notebooks beg to differ. Every margin is a project.

I am ever-changing, ever-growing, and too much for words.

I am me, and I cannot be defined.
