I AM

Body,
Mind,
Soul,
Where the blood once flowed,
now filled with gold.
Beauty,
Is it in the eye of the beholder?
Well my eyes are beautiful,
with a heart strong like a soldier.
My mouth is powerful.
What I speak should be heard around the world.
My voice is a certain tone you can't put on a shelf.
Needless to say, I'm no object.
I plan to go far with myself.
Grasping a hold on this thing called life,
I got it.
I am me and you are you.
I am a human being.
One who will not be moved by your materialistic values,
or your pretty face.
I am worth more than a record deal,
more than a new car.
You can't bribe me with your new "makeup" line.
It's all fake.
I am who I am,
and who I am will never change.
