I Am From

I am from the baracles

from the bottom of  speedboat.

I am from the waves

from the breaking water

th buoy floating

from the safe zone.

I am from the broken sidewalks

from avoiding stepping on cracks

to not break our mother's back.

I am from the sweat on a cheek

from running on a 7:30 am workout

I am from a pot of steamed veggies

from the nutritional facts on a package

from the bikini swimsuit tan

from the sand between my toes.

I am the tears leaving the eyes

from constant laughter

from insiders and those lame moments

I am from the snowy winter

from the forts, snowmen, and hot cocoa

I am from the computer screen

from the apps and downloads.

I am from a crayon box

from short, broken, unsharpened ends

from a variety, quality, and execution

from a mix, a sea of a hot mess

from a 64 pack

from the clearance section.
