I Am

I am the girl,

Innocent and free,

Full of life and happiness.

I am the whore,

Who "dates" countless men at once,

Wishing it wasn't true.

I am the student,

Paying attention in class,

And getting my schoolwork done so that I don't get yelled at.

I am the teen,

Depressed and angry,

For something I can't control

I am

The girl

The whore

The student

The teen

Suffocating under the masks I've created for myself.
