I am from

I am from dirty dishes, from tide and downy. I am from barbies with clothes I made on my own I am from cuts and scrapes, jumping in the pile of rusted fall leaves I am from a housewife grandmother who doesn't know how to drive, that took seven bullets from the man I do not like to call grandpa I am from the belligerent learners and benevolent teachers who tried to help I am from John 3:16, the only verse I have memorized I am from the single mother who works full time but had the time to help my rhyme when i was 9 I am from traumatic events, 9 months away from my family, living with different strangers every month I am from the teenage parents, who decided to have fun, and create me I am from stretched money and from happy moments that might seem normal to you.
