I Am

I am the darker brother Leader of the next generation Father to an unborn nation I am Trayvon Martin Like a shooting star My dreams sore high And when I'm down I hope someone will catch me I am Trayvon Martin Like Martin Luther King I,too, have a dream A young visionary A writer of lyrics that could Feed a dying soul We were never truly whole I am Trayvon Martin The father who's on drugs The little girl struggling with herself The teens living on the streets Cause they think the hustle is free I am Trayvon Martin But who are we to judge What we don't understand We were all born on the same land And, yet we discriminate Against our own race Human..... I am Trayvon Martin I am the darker brother Leader of the next generation Father to an unborn nation I am Trayvon Martin Like a shooting star My dreams sore high And when I'm down I hope someone will catch me I am Trayvon Martin Like Martin Luther King I,too, have a dream A young visionary A writer of lyrics that could Feed a dying soul We were never truly whole I am Trayvon Martin.....
