I am From...

I am from a wall full of memories,

To the inside jokes that keep laughing,

I am from my friends that make me smile,

To the hundred of celebrity husbands I have.

I am from the calling God has on my life,

To Hebrews 12:14.

I am from kind words and big smiles,

To those moments we shared that will forever be in my heart.

I am from a mom that doesn’t give up,

To a dysfunctional family that loves each other.

I am from the Puerto Rican bloodline,

To running when you see the chancla.

I am from nature’s course,

To the life I capture.

I am from the ballet shoes and sneakers I tie on,

To the leaps and triple steps, I groove to.
