I am From
I am from
From long tiring nights and the half processed thoughts that come with them.
I am from the house tied in knots, the loving, the crazy, and very loud.
I am from a venus fly trap, the overly sweet and pretty to look at and If given the chance it would kill you.
I am from game nights and family fights.
From my aunt and my uncle.
I am from fixing cars and vulgar words.
I am from nothing but myself for I don’t need to believe.
I am from La crosse Wisconsin, free to be me.
From the under the sink sundays and the very crispy homemade chicken strips.
From the eldest sisters misunderstood kilted wedding to a death of a lonely grandfather I never really knew.
I am from the photographs on the wall, the old skates under the bed and the memories we keep in our heads.
