I Am...

I am a girl who’s too kind, optimistic, and naive for her own good.

I wonder if there’s actually an afterlife, and what the mysterious place looks like.

I hear a Shh, quiet and reassuring to my needs.

I see a Unicorn, a symbol of magic, wonder, and everything majestic.

I want to be a successful, Black, Female Architect.

I am a girl who’s too kind, optimistic, and naive for her own good.

I pretend to be this everlastingly strong and ecstatic person.

I feel like mermaids are exceptionally real.

I touch and stroke the coats of my dogs, giving them something to look forward to.

I worry about not knowing when I’ll die or what I’ll die from.

I cry when I see racism, stupidity, ignorance, and old age lead to death.

I am a girl who’s too kind, optimistic, and naive for her own good.

I understand that the world will eat me alive, but I still stay positive.

I say, “everyone should love everyone and get along.”

I dream of deadly situations, 3rd worlds, and disasters.

I try to keep all of my friends happy, together, and on one accord.

I hope to be great one day and never have to worry about not having.

I am a girl who’s too kind, optimistic, and naive for her own good.
