As I am

    Dear God,
I need a word, can you hear me?
If I write these words do you think
       they will ever feel me?
I can't relate to love,
I think it fears me.
Heart is outside my body,
and love won't come near me.
I need a change.
Have patience is what I'm hearing.
Breaking chains,
complacency is dreary.
Clearing out the dust, so my
mind can wonder dearly.
I need my vision opened up,
so I can see clearly.
Hopeless and broken,
you healed me.
That exposed the real me.
I'm still getting used to the real me.
I want to build,
buildings for my future children.
I promise they won't ever live through,
things I had to deal with.
Scars come into light at night,
I need healing.
Numb.
What happened to my feelings?
Dear God,
I need a word, can you hear me?
If I write these words you
think
they will ever feel me?
