I Am

I am beautiful.

I am bold.

I am powerful.

I am courageous.

Why?

I don't deserve these adjectives.

I am not always them.

I am weak.

I have issues.

I don't belong here.

That's why.

I don't belong here.

I have been made new.

By His stripes.

I. Am. New.

I am His own.

His life for mine.

A trade.

No longer sinner,

But saved.

No longer disgusted,

but accepted.

No longer a disgrace,

but loved.

Given grace.

Abundant grace

From a Father from another home.

His love is deeper than the sea.

He comforts me with peace.

He will continue on, when I won't.

He will never let go.

His dreams extend mine.

He will never give up.

He will always love.

He holds my hand.

I am his beloved.

And He exists outside of time.
