I am From
I am from lost images, burnt tongues, and barred windows
From peaches, slanted lines, and old flowers that whispered words of love to the walls
From blizzards, cracked lips, and dandelions
I am from the forget me not's and broken leaves
From whips and aging trees
From trade, hunt and needs
I am from the lions, bold and restless
From exotic herbs and spices
From bubbles and scars and tightly packed cars
I am from a piano's deep keys
A flag on an empty mailbox
The rusted knob on a door
I am from the words on a paper
The bell on a bike, and portrait made of legos
From silhouettes and trilogies
from chess and re-runs
To frizzy hair, whiskers, and puddles in the rain.
I am from day dreams of desire
To pies lit on fire
I am from those who despise liars.
I am from living like there's no tomorrow
And moving on with no regrets
I am from a place with no silence
From shadows and repeated corners
I am from a mind o wilderness and serendipity.
