I am From

I am from smiles and laughter

From tears of joy

I am from dull grass

Graffiti on the walls, broken glass on the floor

I am from sunshine and trees, sparkling blue water

From a pretty beach

I am from coffee shops and busy streets

From tragic car accidents

I’m from sirens and crime life

I am from skyscrapers and night time life

From a lighting city at night

I am from a big Christmas tree in the city

From December with snow to your knees

I am from sunny summers and annoying bees

I am from ladybugs flying with luck

From ponds filled with pretty ducks

I am that star above that shine

Graduated class of the dimes.
