I am
I am the sweat that drips off of your cold drink,
While you're the icing that makes the cake.
I am the night sky behind the stars,
And you're the moon that whispers sweet promises.
I am the scraps of paper thrown into the waste bin,
But you're the picture that was perfectly cut out.
I'm the artist that didn't get big,
While you effortlessly excelled in everything.
I am the unappreciated,
The worthless,
The lost voice.
And you're perfect.
