I Am...

I am the clock that counts the depth of the days,

I am the goodness of your ways,

I am the feather that glides on the wind,

I am the cool mountain air that has thinned,

I am the light that illuminates your heart,

I am the creativity that appears in art,

I am the words that flow from the page,

I am the grace that comes with age,

I am the brook that kept your secret,

I am the challenger who threw down their gauntlet,

I am the diamond in the rough,

I am the hope when times get tough,

I am the snow that falls from the grey sky,

I am the one who is unwilling to cry,

I am the one who feels alive,

Because I am someone who can survive.
