I am more

Than you perceive.

There is more

Beneath my unplucked eyebrows,

Big eyes, and tan skin.

Watch me,

And you will see

Someone who is stubborn

And compassionate.

Look into my eyes

And you will see

A whirlwind of activity.

Stare in to my soul

And you will see

A person who hopes for the best,

But expects the worst.

I am a thinker.

I am a girl

Who is unsure

And still has so much to learn.
