I Am

I am

I’m not flawless

I make mistakes all the time,

I have always had regrets

That I think on sometimes.

I try to be strong

To be brave through it all

I say sorry when I can

Attempting to right what I’ve wronged.

I do my best with forgiveness,

Letting go of the past

To enjoy what I have

And make each moment last

At times I make tears

The feelings that make me sad

Other times I am hurtful

Using words to show I’m mad

I do my best to love

To give kindness in any measure

To always be there for them

And treat each person like a treasure

We are told we need to be perfect,

a part of some sick and twisted scam

But I’m flawed and imperfect

And this is who I am.
