I AM

I am compassionate and curious.

I wonder what others see in me.

I hear their gears churning.

I see the warmth in their eyes.

I want to know who they see.

I am compassionate and curious.

I imagine a world without judgment.

I feel the eyes on me.

I touch others around me in a way I don’t understand.

I worry they are disappointed.

I cry for all the women that don’t see their beauty through my eyes.

I am compassionate and curious.

I understand their frustration in confidence.

I say that we fight the “normals” and “perfects”.

I dream for a world without intimidation.

I try to reach out to the suffering.

I hope for a brighter future.

I am compassionate and curious.
