I am...

I am  a drop of water in the burning desert,

A beam of light in a black room,

And a whistle in the silence.

I am out of place.

I am not like anything else in my surrounding.

I am not what everyone else seems to be

And I am not who everyone sees me to be.

I am different.

I do not give in to the norms and the pressure of fitting in.

I walk to the beat of my own drum and dance to my own music.

I brush off insults and push forward in the painful presence of darkness.

I am strong.

I am who I want to be.

I am who I strive to be.

I am me.
