I Am
I am pissed because I’ve become a mom without consent.
I am pissed because I’ve been denied my adulthood.
I am pissed because living with my family is like living with 5 roommates
Who do not know how to live a healthy lifestyle always eating fried chicken and processed frozen foods.
I am pissed because my roommates don’t help clean the house without my telling them to
And when I do, they do it with a bitterness—as if I were the one making their lives miserable.
I am pissed because my brothers game all day, making no effort at normal day to day conversations
I am pissed because I’m stuck here with nowhere else to go.
I am pissed because my parents are in a constant tug-o-war over child custody,
Making me powerless to do anything because I’m an adult child of divorce, I do not matter in this fight.
I am pissed because my dad spends about 75% of his free time in his room on the internet.
I am pissed because when my dad wants to hang out (bond) with the kids, they refuse, and he plays the “one day I’ll die and you’ll regret not spending time with me” card.
I am pissed because he’s a hypocrite.
I am pissed because my dad takes advantage of my presence,
Using me to clean up his house and take care of his children.
I am pissed because he gave me a one week notice that I may or may not get a new mom who is younger than me.
I am pissed because my dad expected me to simply be happy for him and respect his decisions
I am pissed because he expected my blessings.
Perhaps if he had told me months in advance I would be okay.
Most of all, I am alone.
