I Am...

I am...

A princess

crowned in flowers,

adorned with jewelry,

and latched to the only prince that deserved my heart.

A mermaid

swimming through rough seas,

exploring the unknowns of the deep,

and learning more about the world that I can't quite see.

A child

using my imagination,

doing things I shouldn't,

and basking in the glow of my own ignorance.

A student

learning necessities,

chasing my own dreams,

and figuring out how to live a life worth living.

A teacher

supporting hopes and dreams,

cultivating curiosity,

and minding the gaps that students sometimes fall through.

A riddle

loaded with clues,

littered with double entendres,

and happy with my extreme ambiguity.

I am imagination made real.
