I AM....

Who am I?

Well that is such a difficult question to answer

Somedays I can be happy living in my own dreams

Not worried about anyone anything or even how it happens

Coming home wIth a smile on my face

Looking around and not a thing is out of place

The house is clean and homework seems easy

Someone lookIng In on the outside would think my mind was all pretty

But only I know that thIs is only a phase in my day

Because I pray before I sleep that the next day will be the same

Who am I?

It changes everyday

A sad depressed gIrl

With a long look on her face

Everyone says “Smile!” or “Get out of that funk”

But to me it's a leech that is just stuck

I pull and tug and fall all over

To make it understand I want it no longer

I feel lIke it’s a constant battle between me and It

Knowing that when it’s done it’s done

And I can’t even quit

Who am I?

I am stIll tryIng to figure that out

A happy girl or a face with a pout

Here’s my question to the world

Why do I have to fIgure that out now

Only beIng 16

It is so not tIme for me to take a bow

On this stage we call lIfe

Just know that when I’m done

I would have made my mark

And I wIll have known just exactly who I am
