I AM

I am a woman

I am of hispanic descent

I am from a low income community

I am ambitious, I have dreams

But my dreams are constantly crumbled, shamed and put down

I am going to become a doctor

I am going to break those barriers

that women "can't"

that hispanics "can't"

that low income families "can't"

We can do anything we set our minds to

I am a woman

I am of hispanic descent

I am from a low income community

I am ambitious, I have dreams

and I will become a doctor

and so will everyone who is put down

I am acting as a voice, a testimony

I am someone with hope
