I Am

I Am

I am nothing.

When the world tells me

It is not true

That creativity is what makes me unique

I must believe they are right.

A speck of dust in the atmosphere is what I'll be.

I will never think that

I am a tall sunflower that grows in a field of green grass.

I am just like everybody else.

No one can tell me

To be wild, adventurous, and stand out

Because in order to be me in this world, I have

To conform.

I will never know what it feels like

To be me.
