I AM

Ask me if I've seen it all

Age 23 but I feel so small

These brown eyes see the worst

Some things holy, others cursed

Choosing night is a losing game

It lets you feel, but only pain

I AM light that chooses day

Taking the good amongst the strife

That is how I live my life

They can't make me be anything

I AM someone who will be me

I won't get lost in negativity

I lay this darkness down for good

I AM someone who knew I could
