I Am...

I walk through the park

I see a tree

A tree with no leaves

I look at the tree

The tree looks at me

I'm looking into a mirror

I am the tree

The tree with no leaves

The tree that bares no fruit

The tree that knows not what it has done

The tree that offers no shade

The tree that has no bark

The tree that has no bite

The tree that when you need it is never in the same place

THE TREE THAT IS CONSTANTLY MOVING

THE TREE THAT CAN NOT HANDLE YOUR EMPTY PROMISES OF STABILITY

THE TREE WITH NO RINGS

THE TREE THAT TAKES CARBON DIOXIDE BUT GIVES NO OXYGEN

THE TREE THAT WITH LITTLE LIGHT SHED STILL FINDS A WAY TO GROW

The tree that although it is bare, once bore the sweetest fruit of all

I walk through the park

I see a tree

A tree with many blooms

I look at the tree

And smile.
