I am From

I am from a family of 4 girls where there is never a dull moment. I am from a strong mother that has made me who I am: Responsible, Healthy and intelligent. I am from fun family walks taken every meal we eat at my Aunts no matter what the time. I am from doing family garage sales on weekends in my rocky driveway to make a little extra spending money. I am from after school play dates in my backyard, attempting cartwheels, making mud pies, and searching for all the little bird eggs that will eventually hatch. I am from a house on a busy highway, always hearing the humming of: Fast cars, smelly trucks and obnoxious motorcycles. Even throughout the night. I am from Christmas Eve parties of junkie food consisting of shrimp, pigs in the blanket, chips, and nachos, deadly laughter and chaotic conversation. I am from a Grandma who has taught me important manners, but spoils me by bringing me goodies including gas money even when I tell her not to. I am from the late night family birthday parties I got the week of August 18th to celebrate how many years closer I was to be getting gray and wrinkly. I am from late night dinners of venison because we were almost always busy. I am from a father who taught me not to be a whimpy girly girl by going: Fishing and hunting. I am from those long dreadful school days sitting through boring classes learning some things that I already know: How to solve a simple equation, What Lincoln did as president? And even what a metaphor is. Where I am from is an honor and I wouldn’t give it up for anything: My family, Memories, And life lessons All make me ME!
