I Am.
I am
I am nothing but I can eventually be something
I am two eyes and heartbeat and mouth that is full of words
I am the heart that beats inside of me and the blood that pumps through my veins
I am the girl with depression and anxiety who still manages to get up in the morning to fight off her demons
I am the one who sees a weak young girl in the mirror but doesn’t see the weight that she is able to carry
I am the voices inside my heads that are constantly at war with each other to see who can get to me first, to make me believe whatever it is they want me to believe
I am the art that I am able to make upon a canvas to express myself when my words fail me
I am the rain that comes down in buckets and the thunder that shakes the sky when it becomes dark
I am the stars in the sky that twinkle and shine even in the darkest of nights when you think all is lost
I am the tears that run down my face when I feel that all hope is gone
I am the ocean during a storm that writhes and crashes and tosses its waves but is eventually calm again
I am the wolf that cries in the dead of night because it is lonely
I am the setting sun in the west as it slowly falls back into its bed of clouds to finally rest
I am the silent sobs that no one is to hear and catch in my throat when I feel the most worthless
I am the graffiti on the side of an abandoned building, tagging something that was once full of life but is now a symbol of failure and is covered in the expression of others
I am the blood that drips from a fleshly made cut by a razor sliding across skin with a gentle kiss that bites
I am the strength that I cannot see but I can feel
I am the heart and soul that refuses to back down
I am the feeling of jumping into a pool and feeling it slowly embrace you with its clear, fluid fingers
I am the mountains upon the horizon who stands tall when the world around it shakes
I am my expression
I am my art
I am my mind, my heart, and my soul
I am the bones that structure this body to move and to stand
I am human
I am me
