I Am
I am one of many things
Not one more than the other
I have many defining characteristics
And I get every last one from my mother
I am a more experienced sister
Trying to instruct him wrong from right
I am a deidicated, underestimated winner
Trying to inspire her fight
I am a companian when they need me
Trying to distribute the best advice
I am a poet with many words
Trying to keep my writing concise
I am a shadow of our ancestors
Trying to abide by the declaration
I am a small part of our schooling system
Trying to further my education
I am the daughter of two seperated lovers
Trying to live up to both of their expectations
I am a constant, guilty wrongdoer
Trying to pray over every sin
I am a 17-year-old girl
Trying to improve future generations
I am a complicated individual
Trying to be confindent in my imperfections
I am just a girl
Who laughs, who cries, who lives
And I am only a girl
Trying to figure out who she is
