I am Agnostic

I am Agnostic.

Indecisive.

Ambivalent.

Not religious,

Not an atheist.

For years and years,

and years,

and years,

and years

I tried to force myself to believe in God.

To believe that something

somewhere

fashioned everything out of air and dust.

But I just can't.

It's not possible for me

to change who I am.

But stil...

I find God in the trees.

In the whispered song

Of the wind rustling leaves.

In the playful patter

of a brook babbling.

In the love of those who love me,

and the passion of those who don't.

I neither confirm nor deny

that He is out there.

I can't do either.
