I am alone

It's past midnight

And the demons came out during the night

They whispered and murmured in my head

I stared at the ceiling

Hoping and praying it'll all go away

I screamed, hopelessly

Silence fell in the room as the voices faded away

As I opened my eyes

I realized it was only in my head

I was truly alone
