I Am Beautiful
I am beautiful because of this:
My parents taught me strength,
and to love at great length.
My grandma taught me to be selfless;
generosity is a form of kindness.
My Auntie and Papa taught me to love nature,
and how to be a good baker.
I wear my heart on my sleeve,
and try not to preconceive.
Everyone has a story,
so don't hate them because of their glory.
Plastic and fake, that isn't me.
True beauty comes within thee.
I'll live the life I have imagined,
because I know what I want to happen.
I want to help people like others have helped me,
I'll be a nurse and start my own family.
I am emotional, natural, and truthful,
and that is what makes me beautiful.
