I am Beautiful

I am beautiful

Because I am God made
Different in shades
Looked down upon
But I am beautiful
I am the woman that birthed you
The woman that spent 245 years enslaved
OPPRESSED
but I am beautiful
I am the black woman
Whose beauty is determined by the color of her skin
The length and texture of her hair
The curves of her body
The size of her cups
But I am beautiful
OSTRACIZED
accused of being angry all the time
Living in a world where were not as
"Foreign" as we should be
I AM BLACK AND I AM BEAUTIFUL
