I Am the Best Me I Can Be
The best me I can be
May someday live in poverty
A restless soul with nothing but a heart
Nothing that hasn't been torn apart
The best me I can be
May someday live in a mansion
But despite what is in my wallet
I will keep my compassion
The best me I can be may one day serve our nation
I may become more than just an ordinary patron
I may save a life, and help those overseas
Whom defend Christ and want nothing but liberty
The best me I can be
May one day be a mother of three
Someone that my children can look up to in order to suceed
The best me I can be is me
Who I am
I am a sister
I am a daughter
I am someone who can love one another
I am young
I am strong
I may try to right the wrong
But the best me I can be
Is who I am currently
And although I will grow
I will remember which seeds to sew
The seeds that sprout joy in which the world may need
Therefore I am me,
the best me I can be.
