I am Bitter-Sweet
I am an unstruck match.
Anticipating the moment that my skin will strike the rough paper,
sending my spirit ablaze.
I am the drousy thoughts that wake you in the morning.
The perfect moments before you are concious.
Your dreams still lingering.
Your breathing still slow.
I am the moment before a breakdown.
Your heart aching.
Your mind tired.
You think to yourself "is it worth it?".
I am a black and white film,
casting shadows on the walls,
leaving the viewers quiet,
sending there troubles to a different room.
I am the chorus of laughter after a joke,
that seems to put your mind at ease,
if only for a second.
I am barefeet on a muddy lawn,
where children laugh and play.
I will soon be tracked inside,
upon which the children will recieve a scolding.
I am the memories that fill a tired brain,
bringing hope,
embarresment,
courage,
and fear.
I am both bitter and sweet,
yet permanatly etched in your brain.
Until you choose to forget,
but most I hope you'll remember.
