I am Black...
Was it a blessing or a curse?
Oh I guess its a blessing!
As I said to myself;
Being melanin is not a sin
People have made it to be
or look like it is!
Being black does not mean
you are bewitched
but simply means you are inherited to
the goodness of life,
it means you are destined for greatness
and you are as unique and special as anyone else could be
Dear black child...
Never think of yourself as low as an ant
Rather think of yourself as high as a bird
For you are the high you think you are
You are the rich you are
You are the super special you think you are
You are the important you think you are
You are the priority you think you are
You are the superior you think you are
Never look down on yourself
It is all a matter of changing the mindset
Once we change how we think
We can start seeing people and things around us
as beautiful and different the way we want them to be
I am black
and I am brave
I am black
and I am smart
I am Black
and I am capable
I am Black
and I am free spirited
I am Black
and I am awesome
I am Black
and I carry so much uniqueness in me
I am Black
and how are you?
The dazzling snow of Washington?
The smoke that comes out of a chimney?
Well let me tell you who am I
because I am the greatest
The inherited from the forefathers
The Black, Bold and Blessed
I am the vessel to humanity
Come to think of it...
Am I not awesome?
Am I not smart?
Am I not human?
Oh yeah you don't have an answer
because the least you can do is kill us
and it's not fair because we occupy most of
the population and we being killed
Yes, I am Black and proud
How are you?
