I am Black and White
I am Black and White. The term of what an Oreo is. The definition is identified as a clean and unclean mix and yet the unclean is clean. I am the African slaves who was sold to a White master one who was beaten, raped and treated like an item and not a human. I am the segregation of my race and yet why hate what I am? I'm not just one color, no I'm mixed with Black's purity and White too. My ancestor's marched for equality and yet I march for tranquility, tranquility because this era seems to find themselves pure but, you see were all Oreo's. We all share the blood of slaves and owners. We all shed the same blood and tears. We aren't born pure. No matter how far we deny it our parents aren't pure. As long as there's Blackness and White in them they can't hide it. We are mixed due to our ancestors. We hold the answers of our color and yet not all of us can admit to it. Slaves are apart of us. We hate ourselves, and yet we're mixed so no matter how much you cover it up your White and Black. Just like Dominicans ar Haitian mixed all this hate going on, and yet were every race we deny. Why is that? Why must we deny our blood? We aren't no different from our ancestors. Martin Luther KIng Jr Had a Dream. A dream to see us Black and White come together. Well we're together but still not fully intergrated. But we still deny the truth in color. Well stop it, or blood is special, we should be proud of our heritage. Our color shouldn't matter to us. What makes us is ourselves. Color doesn't count. Whites and Blacks are us in the end but, go on live a lie deny your colors but as for me, I'm mixed and t be honest I'm not ashamed of it because my eyes are open and I'm not afraid of my color becaus I am Black and White.
