I Am A Black Teen

I am a black teen

living in a community of depair and poverty

Growing up in a household of 3

Foodstamps wasnt really supporting me

Finacially money really wasnt coming my way

Food was still a struggle but i managed a way

I am a black teen

scared of society and what they think of me

a theif,dissrespectful,and non intelligent

Free education was the best option i had

Making it far,towards college

And wanna be a grad

Drugs and negative things are surrounding me

But i take a chance and fight me way pass those things

I am a black teen
