I am black. You are

I am black. You are blue.

I am hurting, are you?

I feel pain. You feel shame.

I wonder, will I ever be the same?

I see love. He sees lust.

Has what we had gone to dust?

I hear words. I hear lies.

How does he sleep at night?

I have known. Yes, I have grown.

How will it feel when I am, once again, all alone?
