I Am The Change
I stared at the colorless newspaper that sat in the dispenser. Another headline about our president. Since when did life get so fucking political? You can’t go to school and express your opinions without someone pummeling them down. I can’t learn about how our government works without my teacher ranting about controversial topics. Protesters are suddenly called terrorists even though there were thousands that were peaceful. Only a handful of people have to create chaos and ruin peace for many. Black Americans being shot for no reason has never been acepted. Yet why is no one standing up and supporting the lives of many. Color of skin should never cross anyones mind. We are all human. All our lives matter, there is no difference between our lives. Our skin may look different, but we are all flesh and blood underneath. I have seen enough. I have heard too much. What will it take to make a single change in the world? What ever it may take; I will be that change.
