I Am Changed
In loving memory of my guardian angel, Waylon Coulter,
who lived this fragile life to the fullest with the most infectious smile.
Fly high in Heaven, 3/21/1995 - 9/30/2015.
Born unto the Earth,
I took my first hopeful glance,
The world, full of light.
Everything bright,
Many opportunities,
No room for sadness.
Grown up without fear,
My life brought happiness forth,
With loving parents.
I was quite busy,
For I emerged my soul deep,
In every chance made.
When high school came 'round,
I did not see happiness,
I was lost and broke.
I excelled in sports,
But had not gotten noticed,
My peers picked on me.
Then something found me,
Someone so bright with promise,
He became my light.
We filled days with joy,
I knew no awards mattered,
Because loved shined through.
He gave me hope now,
My life had been blueprinted,
And we were all set.
By sharing our love,
The world, full of light once more,
Life, full of choices.
Now I had fear,
Because I loved and had plans,
We had forever.
One day my life changed,
The Lord took him on a ride,
He now flies so high.
For I was broken,
And my greatest fear came true,
Lost hope without him.
Tears won't stop falling,
From my eyes once filled with hope,
I was lost once more.
I went back to Church,
I read the ways of the Lord,
One day I will know.
I will find out why,
Why things happen to the good,
He loved life so much.
Although I am lost,
He is always with me now,
My guardian angel.
Appreciate life,
And everyone you meet,
Cherish all the times.
Believe in the light,
Make an impact on your friends,
Remember your faith.
Always be daring,
And live life with purpose,
Change your perspective.
Fill the world with light,
Everyone's different,
Share your story.
Pay tribute to those,
Those who made life different,
Always remember.
Life, full of choices,
Once seemed so very complete,
Can alter your fate.
Do all things fully,
And use your whole heart to live,
You don't know your time.
So make a great change,
And make everyone smile,
Be their happiness.
I choose to make change,
My experiences taught,
What no other could.
I am starting new,
Looking at life as a gift,
Using it for good.
I will make changes,
Just as my angel would have,
His light lives through me.
He flies beside me,
And I know one day,
He'll smile at the gates.
