I am... a colligate athlete

Athletic.

Athletic isn't me.

Yeah... I play sports but,

athletic isn't me.

Watching from the sidelines I thought,

athletic isn't me.

This mindset haunted me for many years.

Why?

My dream has always been to play college football.

I wanted to be the best but,

I wasn't big,

I wasn't fast,

I wasn't strong.

Junior year my father sat me down.

He looked me in the eyes and said,

"How bad do you want to be successful?" ...

"When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breath,

then you'll be successful."

From that moment until as long as I live,

I am mentally tough.

I would jump out of bed every morning with one goal,

one dream.

People told me,

you'll never make it...

You'll never be good enough.

I worked until I sweat,

I worked until I hurt,

I worked until I would vomit.

Today

I am... A colligate athlete
