I am Darkness
I am darkness,
But not evil,
I am what people see,
But what people don't know they see,
For I am darkness,
That darkness is over looked and over turned because they cannot see,
They reject darkness because it is looked to be evil,
Because they see a threat that isn't there,
Because they imagine demons and filth hiding among the bozom of black,
Thinking that darkness,
Me,
Has no white or green,
Therefore no life,
Well boys and girls,
Let me truely show what darkness really is.
Darkness isn't the absence of light,
But a sponge of it,
Sucking in all colors of white light,
Using the colors for good,
And to outline white light,
And make the shapes and borders between goods of different kinds,
To give art and the world more depth,
And understanding of the different colors,
And how they separate from each other,
To prevent collision amongst themselves.
I can be a shield,
A veil of the innocent,
And those who mean no harm and dear,
Hiding their pains and suffering through a black curtain,
And protecting those injured from more humiliation of enemies,
Taking a blow for them,
Being a shield,
Being an angel in the shadows.
I am the one who's on the ground when light shines on you,
Following to make sure that you know that you are not in heaven,
Where there is no shadows,
And no living human to tell you that you still have a chance,
Sure you only look once in a while,
Noticing briefly,
And only making puppets and heart signs with in the summer,
But I make sure that light still shines on you,
No matter what hour you are still awake.
Without darkness,
There cannot be light,
There must be something to contrast with it,
To make sure that light is in fact,
real,
So you do not live in a grey,
Or an unbordered world,
To give you a protection when you need to hide,
To tell you that you are still alive,
Let the shadow be that friend,
And not an enemy,
For that darkness could in fact,
Be the greatest light you could ever see.
