I am Determined

I am determined,

This didn't come naturally,

It took work, struggling, and a lot of support.

I am determined to be the best me I can be,

I am determined to be a nurse,

Living my life in scrubs,

Being there for some while they take their last breath,

And being there for others while they take their first.

I am determined to expand my horizon,

see new things,

meet new people,

and explore the world.

I am determined to make my family proud,

going one step further than what they could give me,

by making my life struggle free.

I am determined to help the world,

From Africa,

To New York,

and even problems that knock on our front doors.

I am determined to one day be the world's greatest mom,

Or wife,

Or aunt.  

One day I will be the best I can be,

And no one will get in my way, or try and stop me.
