I am a Dreamer Sonnet

I have always dreamed of doing something big

Wanting to be an archaeologist

I thought with history you only dig

I moved on to a cardiologist

But after AP U.S. history,

I finally confirmed the path for me

Only now I know my true destiny

To go into politics with great glee

I have learned of men who brought great change

And of the women who have done great things

Though today these men may seem rather strange

Thanks to these people, liberty bell still rings

I dream of being remembered like them

Many great new things from me there will stem
