I am from the eagle

I am from the eagle flying high

Standing tall with my hand over my heart

I am from bleeding blue and

horses running free

I am from heartaches and heart breaks

From a home where you love with all your soul and

The only way to learn is to make mistakes

I am from loud hallways to quiet whispers

To tweeting and refreshing

To emojis and hashtags

I am from one God and praising in song

From cleansing in water to rising as a new being

I am from yelling and screaming

From running and hiding

I am from teaching adolescents from right and wrong

I am from stories at night to tucking in tight

From loving my family to excepting new members

I am from a little place called home
