I am Eighteen

I am Eighteen

And I think I know everything

I cannot wait to live alone

How come I cannot have

A job already

What if I never

Pick a major

And I am still waiting

Just to be grown

My home doesn't seem like home

I am better off alone

Suppose I never make friends my age

Who will remember me

There is too much I desire

But so far till I get there

And I am still waiting

Just to be grown

No one can comprehend

I do not feel how I should

I can not control

All my aspirations

I am fourteen

How am I supposed to conquer the world with braces?

I have all this time

I don not know how to use

I need to stop and live

And I am still waiting

Just to be grown
