I Am Everything You Think I Can't Become
Behind the light, I hide what people can't see.
Outsiders see beauty while I see a beast.
I am an imperfect me.
The best imperfect me you'll ever see
With an imagination so dangerous and a tongue so fierce.
I slay people everyday with the most powerful weapon... My words!
But this imperfect me will soon pass away
Disintegrating this beast
Allowing the perfection to have its way.
And moment by moment I will release
The perfection I once did not see.
No more smiling to hide the real me.
Now pulling back the curtain to reveal the ultimate me!
Who Am I!...
Who am I?
Who am I to be brilliant, wonderful, magnificent, beautiful...
Actually, who am I not to be?
Am I not to be powerful beyond measure.
Am I not to be loved beyond degree.
Am I not to be the voice the world needs to hear.
Am I not to be the poet that speaks life.
Am I not to be the writer that can quiver your soul.
Am I not to be the greatest singer the world has ever known.
Am I not to be America's best dancer.
Am I not to be the Biochemist who'll cure cancer.
Am I not to be the person someone can look up to.
Am I not to be mindful because a person tells me not to.
Am I not to be the model that rips the runway.
Am I not to be determined because of what people say.
Am I not to be amazing among all others.
Am I not to be marvelous to the highest extent.
Am I not to be accepted for who I am.
Am I not to be passionate because people say I can't.
Am I not to be anything because they say I won't make it.
Am I not to be successful if no one believes in me.
Am I not to be all that God says I can be.
Am I not to be loved totally.
Am I not to be the girl that will make a change.
Am I not to be the girl who gives others hope.
Am I not to be important and just be a joke.
Who am I to be brilliant, wonderful, magnificent, beautiful...
Actually, who am I not to be.
