i am... extra bold
I am EXTRA BOLD.
As you know it’s a font to others
But to me, we are one.
Bold, I am bold
I am not italicized by my pears
And underline by current misfortunates
But I am bold.
I stand out in the crowd and know how to make an entrance
All, because I am bold.
There isn’t any if’s, and’s, or but’s to why I am what I am.
God said to Moses “I am what I am”
So can’t I be who I am
I am bold
Extra, I am in every bit extra,
Extra in the sense of more than average
And greater the normal
I am extra
Coming from a minority white school
Being one of two black girls in the 10th grade
Yeah, I’m extra.
But I am bold.
Having two concepts to clash and blend is crazy.
